New research opportunity for NRXN1 families

Take part in an online study of rare autism-associated genetic variants conducted by a research group at Columbia University!

 

You are eligible to participate if

• Your child is at least 9 years old

• Your child can verbally communicate using at least phrase speech

• Your child has an autism diagnosis

• Your child has a rare autism-associated genetic variant

 

Participation will involve

• An online questionnaire for you and your child to fill out together (~20 minutes)

• A Zoom appointment with a researcher (~15 minutes) followed by two computerized “tasks” for your child to perform on their own (~40 minutes)

• In 2 years, we will invite you and your child to complete the questionnaire and tasks again

 

You will receive

• A $100 gift card for your participation now

• Another $100 gift card if you choose to participate again in 2 years
