Great turnout for virtual conference!

Our first ever virtual Research and Family Conference was a great success! Over 100 researchers, family members, clinicians, friends, and self-advocates attended over two days. Day 1 included exciting talks from researchers all over the world on topics in human genetics, animal models (mice, rats, and zebrafish- oh my!), and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). Day 2 was our family day and focused on research and clinical talks on a range of topics, including ongoing research studies, managing anxiety, promoting positive behavior, and the relationship between autism and psychosis. Families had the opportunity to get to know NRXN1 board members and participate in breakout sessions to meet other families affected by NRXN1.

We’d like to thank all of our speakers, the organizing committee, and the virtual support team from the University of Pennsylvania.

The conference was recorded for anyone who was unable to attend live. Details about how to access the recording will be shared in the near future.
